Tarkov Ammunition (Escape from Tarkov)

Ammunition decides fights in Escape from Tarkov before either side pulls the trigger. The round in your magazine sets whether your shot punches through class 5 armor or bounces off, and how much damage lands on an unarmored target. This listing covers Tarkov ammunition as a category: the calibers, the penetration and damage trade-offs, and the rounds worth carrying into a raid.

Choosing well means matching the round to the job. High-penetration loads crack armored opponents but cost you flesh damage and recoil; high-damage loads shred soft targets but stall against plates. Knowing which caliber you are running, and which round fits your budget and your playstyle, keeps you from losing fights you should win.
